On November 17, “Arno Babajanyan” Concert Hall will host a series of events to commemorate the 180th birth anniversary of Bishop Garegin Srvandztian, a spiritual, religious leader and a public figure of Armenia. As a great devotee of Armenian culture, Srvandztyan founded the process of collecting the folklore and had a priceless impact on Armenian ethnography.
𝟰 𝗽.𝗺.
A conference on Garegin Srvandztian’s biography and lifetime activity will take place at the Ground Floor of “Arno Babajanyan” Concert Hall.
𝟲 𝗽.𝗺.
The opening of “Sasountsi Davit” (David from Sasoun) and Kaj Nazar (Brave Nazar)” exhibition will be held in the two foyers of “Arno Babajanyan” Concert Hall, featuring the study materials, manuscripts, and printed works of Garegin Srvandztian. The exhibition will also showcase the works of the world-famous painters Martiros Saryan, Hakob Kojoyan and other prominent artists.
𝟳 𝗽.𝗺.
The evening will be concluded by the concert of classical music at “Arno Babajanyan” Concert Hall, with the participation of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin Choir, Komitas National Quartet and Artasax Saxophone Quartet.
The project is realized by the State Philharmonia of Armenia, in cooperation with Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, National Gallery of Armenia, National Library of Armenia, and Yeghise Charents Museum of Literature and Arts.
