Armenian Contemporary Music Concert

The “Norayr Kartashyan and Menua” band was founded in 2015 with the aim of presenting the traditions of Armenian instrumental music with a professional interpretation. The band specializes in performing Armenian folklore compositions prepared by Norayr Kartashyan, as well as his original compositions. “Menua” represents the five families of Armenian brass instruments: duduk, blul, shvi, parkapzuk, and zurna.

The musicians of the “Menua” band are:
• Norayr Kartashyan (wind instruments)
• Eric Avagyan (wind instruments)
• Vasil Sahakyan (wind instruments)
• Grigor Kartashyan (wind instruments)
• Maria Aristakesyan (cello)
• Lilit Petrosyan (kanon)
• Grigor Davtyan (percussion instruments)
